Leather Sector in Bangladesh
Bangladesh is historically famous for the quality and availability of Cow, Buffalo & Goat leather. Currently the
country produces about 400 million square feet. of cow, goat, sheep and buffalo leather per year. Bangladesh is
an exporter of finished & crust leather as well as footwear & leather products. The country recently exported
USD 505.54 million worth finished and crust leather, USD 240.09 million worth leather products (bags & purse)
and USD 550.11 million worth footwear (Export performance report 2013-2014 by Export Promotion Bureau
There is a huge demand for the leather products of Bangladesh in the world market. If we can use our full potential
for exporting finished leather goods such as bags, shoes, small leather goods, our export earnings will be 5 to 6

Quality Assurance Policy
Leatherex believes in growth of the buyers. Behind the success of any buyer in their market a good
merchandize in a competitive price with a high quality and on time shipment in season is the main factor.
We, Leatherex team try our best to ensure success and protection to our buyers. We have different types of
policy package for Quality Assurance:
Types Policy Details
Option – 1 Buyer inspects 100% before packaging with a support of Quality Assurance Department of
Option – 2 Buyer can nominate their representative to monitor and inspect the quality before shipment.
Option – 3 Leatherex in-house QA (Quality Assurance) team check and inspect 100% merchandize before
shipment and a PSI certificate is being issued to the buyers.
Leatherex takes full responsibility of the products after arriving at the buyer’s destination. In case of poor
quality during inspection after arrived at the destination, Leatherex gives replacement within 60 days at
free of charge. An additional service such as X-ray with scan report is also available for Japanese
